Following the battle against the Dwarves I saw my Dark Elves engaged by the unholy host of James Vampire hordes.
Without thinking I took the same army which I’d used against Derek, which was probably not the best choice to make.
The game proved to be fairly short.

The third battle in the campaign saw the Dark Elf remnants engage the might of Karag Wittenbury. Derek brought along a Gyrocopter, a unit of Thunderers, 2 units of Warriors, 2 units of Longbeards, and a unit of Slayers. I took a Dark Elf army almost entirely of Repeating Crossbowmen with characters.

No sooner had the Dark Elves retired to recover from their forray against the Vampire Counts forces than they were engaged by a force of High Elves seeking to liberate the recently desecrated shrine which I held.
My forces remained the same, whilst arrayed against me were a High Elf force consisting of;

Well, the one-vs-one Campaign games have finally ceased. An impressive total of 49 games were played, including 4 War of Conquest games. (In the Campaign last year, which had been our most prolific year to date, only 39 games were played). The two leaders are currently James and Andy.

Another five battles were fought this week, the penultimate week of one-vs-one games.
My High Elves beat Stuarts Ogres, mainly by magic as my two wizards threw fireballs like hail-stones, taking out whole Ogre units at the same time. Ogres against Elves is a bad match-up for the Ogres, I have decided.
