I am delighted to announce that the Inaugural OGC Warmachine and Hordes Tournament will take place on Saturday 9th October 2010, starting at 9am, at our usual club venue.
This event is intended to be accessible to players new to the game, but veterans are both welcome and encouraged to attend, as long as they're prepared for a fun, relatively laid back tournament.
The format will be as follows:
* 4 (possibly 5, depending on attendance) games, all with different scenarios
* 25pts per army
* Each player may enter only one list
* All rules from the Steamroller 2010 tournament pack will be used, although the time constraints will be relaxed to make life a litle easier for newer players. The rules pack can be downloaded from the Privateer Press website.
Some other things:
* As per the Steamroller rules, painted armies are not mandatory. However, there will be a 'painted army raffle' for all those bringing fully painted armies.
* All players must bring their own cards and templates (now that the Hordes MkII cards have been released, this shouldn't be a problem).
* There will be modest prize support, including prizes for the top three players, and the best painted army (as voted for by the participants).
Admission costs £10 per head. Details of how to pay will be made available in the near future, although club members can just pay me in person whenever they see me.
So, who's in?
