Big Game Day

Big Game Day

Postby Andy Cummings » Thu Feb 18, 2010 10:21 pm

All,

Folowing on fromteh success of teh recent FoW big game day held in my games room, I am proposing we hold a 1 day event on ECW using Warhammer Renaisannce rules ( the follow up rules to WECW which I can provide a ciopy of).

No idea of format but we have a 12x6ft table to play on,given what I know of armies it will be traditional Parliment vs Roylaist, and liekly limite dto 6 layers due to space, although very happy to expand this game to a Sunday Club event for more players/largr table.

Likely we will have 6000 to 1000 points a side overall given what I understand most people in club to h=own and have painted....

Let me know here on forum your interest and (painted) forces.

Cheers
Andy

The Royalist Forces from Oakhurst are willing to participate.
At the moment I can muster 2 Foote Regiments and 4 Horse Regiments and 1 Canone
I am also at the present mustering a Dragoon unit and training them.
I will endeavour to raise other units between now and then.

Dates! thats probably going to be teh big stumbling block!

I am available over easter weekend! (The wife is away) but suspect mist people are not - but worth putting out there...

Open to other dates - probably a Sunday is best for me.

So far we have 3 players(andy, Phil and Derek), I believe the other main ECW players are Warren and Simon. Paul also has some ECW but has failed to train them yet! so that would make the 6 places max for my room for a comfortable game in a day.

regards
Andy

OK,

I can raise for the just cause of Parliament;
4 regiments of honest foote (2 more are being recruited from the assizes)
2 regiments of fleet horse
2 regiments of steadfast cuirassier
no gonnes at present (though hopefully this will be addressed by reinforcements from the Continent)

Easter is a holy festival not suited to the frivolous activities of wargaming (I'll be at my parents so I can't make it). Let me know what other Sundays are up for consideration.

You'll also need to pass along the rules.

Cheers
