Club Activity 16th February 2011

It was anothger good turn out last night with a very wide mix of games.

The Blood Bowl League is in full swing with two games going on.  Warmachine continues to draw new players with two games being played.

Warhammer 40K only had 2 games on as well, but no doubt we’ll see more over the half term.  Warhammer Fantasy Battle had two very large games with some fabulous armies on the table.

Also being played was a large Field of Glory Medieval game, a large 10mm Black Powder ACW, a Flames of War (Late War Eastern Front?), and a revisit to the Post Apocolyptic Future Roleplay with about 6 players.

Three teams are off this weekend to take part ion the Field of Glory Doubles tournament at Burton on Trent.  Since I think that the most games any of the members have played is around 5, with most only achieving 3, it will be an interesting experience to face people who actually understand the rules (though no doubt it will often prove to be a fairly short affair).

Don’t forget that the Abingdon Overlord Show is coming up on Sunday 6th March.  Details can be found at;

http://www.abingdonwargames.org.uk/overlord.htm

It’s usually a well attended show with a reasonable bring-and-buy and a wide variety of traders.  Cheap enbtrance and free parking are an added bonus.

Cheers

Warren
