Infantry Aces April 2016
Here are the basics for the FOW Infantry Aces Campaign to be held in April.
It will be Mid war.
Using North Africa and Eastern Front books
We will be fighting over 3 areas. They are going to be…
Stalingrad to Kharkov to Kursk
El Alamein to Tobruk to Tripoli
Tunisia to Sicily to Cassino
As it is Infantry Aces you will only be able to select Infantry Companies to use.
Once you start the campaign you will be sticking to that company for the entire campaign.
How the company is composed can change, but if you start with a Soviet Strelkovy Company that will be it for the campaign.
Infantry units only including (under the title banner of the unit in brackets it says INFANTRY COMPANY)

500 points per company
You can take troops only from HQ, Combat and Weapons Platoons.
You must take the minimum requirement in a normal game.
Eg HQ and two infantry platoons.
No Tank or transport teams. (This means no vehicles in the Tank section of the nations armoury )
Pioneer supply vehicles automatically deploy fortifications
Table size 4x4ft
Second Campaign turn
700 points per company
You can take troops only from HQ, Combat and Weapons Platoons.
You must take the minimum requirement in a normal game.
Eg HQ and two infantry platoons.
No Tank or transport teams. (This means no vehicles in the Tank section of the nations armoury )
Only combat and weapon teams can secure or contest objectives
Pioneer supply vehicles automatically deploy fortifications
Table size 6x4ft
Third Campaign turn
900 points per company
You can take troops only from HQ, Combat and Weapons Platoons.
You must take the minimum requirement in a normal game.
Eg HQ and two infantry platoons.
Only one Platoon with Armoured vehicles max 5 tanks teams.
Only combat and weapon teams can secure or contest objectives
Pioneer supply vehicles automatically deploy fortifications
Table size 6x4ft
Final game if wanted/required/demanded
As per LAST DAY IN COMBAT MISSION

Flames of War Infantry Aces update.
4 games played between five of us. 2 battles were fought over the Eastern Front Territory “Stalingrad” in the Snow. Axis 6 points Allies 3 points
Africa “El Alamein” in the Desert Axis 6 points Allies 5 points.
Paul managed to rack up 6 points and an Ace skill. (Hungarian Puskas)
Bob managed to rack up 3 points. (British Desert Rifles)
Rob managed to get 3 points. (German Rifles)
Warren managed to get 4 points. (Indian Rifles)
Phil managed to rack up 4 points. (Italian Alpini Eastern front)
So come along and join in you won’t be too fr behind the other players.
1 piece of advice. DO NOT start with a unit in Ambush! on a 4ft square board it just won’t work!
1 rule amendment… I am going to enforce a game end and restart at 9pm so that everyone gets two games in during the evening next week and the week after.

2 battles were fought in Tunisia in more desert. (Or snow covered hills!?) Axis 5 points Allies 7 points
So Turn 1 is now over.

Tunisia points total Axis 5 Allies 7. ALLIES WIN
Eastern Europe points total Axis 12 Allies 10. AXIS WIN
Turn 2 will be fought over these territories…
Kharkov in the East
Tobruk in the south
Sicily in the middle.
Paul Nettle increased up to 14 points and another Ace skill.
Bob Becker increased up to 10 points and gained an Ace skill.
Rob Bird increased up to 7 points and an Ace skill.
Warren Gleeson increased up to get 13 points. And an Ace skill.
Peter David got up to 8 points and an Ace skill.
Paul Stein got up to 9 points and an Ace skill.
I increased to 8 points and an Ace skill.
